Mobilization Against War & Occupation (MAWO) is
inviting you to join us for our bi-weekly organizing
meeting!

1)At this week's meeting we will be discussing
and organizing the 5th Student Week Against War &
Occupation (SWAWO) taking place from October 16-27th.
This event takes place in more than 10 highschool, college, and university 
campuses with more than 50 different anti-war, anti-occupation activities.

2)We will also be organizing the just-called 22nd Emergency Picket Action on 
Thursday October 19th to protest the death of the 42nd Canadian soldier in 
Afghanistan and Canada’s ongoing war and occupation of Afghanistan.

3)MAWO has responded to and endorsed the call for an
International Day of Action against war and occupation
by the International ANSWER Coalition in the US and
the call by the Collective Echec a la guerre, the
Canadian Peace Alliance, the Canadian Labour Congress,
and the Canadian Islamic Congress for a pan-Canadian
day of protest against the occupation of Afghanistan
to take place October 28. In Vancouver we have endorsed
the local antiwar march rally organized by Stopwar.ca, in which we will 
participate and build actively.

4)At this week’s meeting we will be continuing discussing and organizing for 
this upcoming action as well as MAWO’s major, all-day antiwar conference 
taking place on October 29th – “Imperialist Aggression and the Era of War & 
Occupation” from 10am-6pm at the Britannia Community Center on Commercial

5)MAWO's bi-weekly political education discussion classes (alternating with 
Wednesday meetings) will continue again next Wednesday October 25th at Joe’s 
Café on Commercial drive.

campaign demanding "Canada Out of Afghanistan Now!",
come to this week's MAWO organizing meeting!
