On July 14, 2005, Canadian Chief of Defense Staff
General Rick Hiller called Afghan people “detestable
murders and scumbags” and announced that the job of
the 2,000 more Canadian troops being sent to
Afghanistan was “to be able to kill people”.
This increase in the Canadian War Drive was recently
marked by the July 10 death of a 17th Canadian soldier
in Afghanistan – and the deaths of dozens of innocent
civilians. This war drive has killed and ruined the
lives of countless thousands of Afghan people.

NOW is the time more than ever to take action against
this war drive.
Join us to protest and to mark the one-year
anniversary of the increase in the Canadian War Drive.
Join this picket action to add your support to the
support of over 10,000 others on MAWO’s Canada Out of
Afghanistan petition, and demand an end to this
occupation.
