Mayday Organizing Committee Meeting
Thursday March 24th

Britannia Community Centre
Learning Resource Room
(Napier St at Commercial Dr)


As we are sure you are aware, Mayday 2005 is
approaching and, as of yet, there is no major
demonstration planned to celebrate this historically
and politically important working class holiday.

Just last year more than 10,000 working people
gathered to celebrate Mayday and unite against the BC
Liberal government in support of striking Hospital
Employees Union workers. This year we have the
opportunity to mobilize working people again – along
with people all around the world – for this
international celebration of the power of the working
class when united in action for our rights.

Youth Third World Alliance, has called for an open
organizing meeting this Thursday March 24th 6:30pm at
Britannia Community Centre (Napier St at Commercial
Drive in Vancouver) to strike an ad hoc Mayday
organizing committee. We are inviting organizations to sent 
representatives to attend this meeting. Through this 
meeting we hope to involve a broad range of groups that 
are devoted to furthering the cause of working people, coming
together to build one united action on Sunday May 1st.
