Next Organizing Meeting of Mobilization Against War and Occupation (MAWO)
Date: Wednesday March 16, 2005
Time: 6:30pm
Place: Britannia Community Center (1661 Napier St)
 
This Wednesday is the last MAWO organizing meeting before the International Days of Action this coming weekend and energy is building on streets, on campuses and across the city. On March 19 and 20 people all over the world will be mobilizing against the ongoing and brutal occupation of Iraq. On March 19 MAWO is organizing a demonstration at 12noon at the Vancouver Art Gallery in solidarity with the people of Iraq and with people struggling against imperialism all over the world to say "YES to Self-Determination!" "No to Occupation of Iraq!". We are also combining education with mobilization with the all-day, anti-war anti-occupation conference on March 20, "The 21st Century: the Century of War, Occupation and Resistance. Building the Anti War Movement: Why there is no other option!" Our most important job this week is connecting with as many people across the city and the lower mainland as possible so come out to the MAWO meeting to educate, organize, and mobilize!
