Next MAWO Organizing Meeting:
Wednesday July 6

Britannia Community Center (on Commercial Drive at Napier St)

Summer months are often dry, in weather and activism, but not in Vancouver. This summer, antiwar activity is heating up the city as we saw last weekend with the all-campus war resisters petition drive organized by students from campuses from UBC to Kwantlen Surrey. Students came together to collect more than 500 signatures for the campaign in support of war resisters in only one day! With growing antiwar sentiment in the US and increasing troop resistance to the occupation, the antiwar movement is being energized this summer, taking on the fight of war resisters and pushing it forward. Come out to the MAWO organizing meeting to get involved in the war resisters support campaign, organizing antiwar mobilizations and educating over the summer months!

The meeting is on Wednesday July 6 at 6:30 pm at the Britannia Community Center. All are welcome!
