Next Organizing Meeting of Mobilization Against War & Occupation (MAWO):

@ the Britannia Community Center (1661 Napier St - where Commercial Drive 
meets Napier St)

Canada's role in war and occupation abroad is becoming larger and more 
aggressive, combined with the advent of a crackdown on democratic and civil 
rights at home. Newsmedia last week reported on polls being conducted on 
whether or not people are willing to sacrifice privacy and freedom for 
"increased security" - like video surveillance and the presence of more 
police on our streets and on public transit. It is the job of the antiwar 
movement in Canada especially to respond with education and mobilization to 
send the message that we oppose these attacks on people at home and abroad. 
Come out to MAWO's next organizing meeting this week to get involved!
