Is there an alternative to imperialist war and occupation?
Nov 27th
10:30am 4:30pm
Britannia Community Center
(Commercial Dr @ Napier)
As the US-led occupation forces continue to pound Iraq with bombings, ground troops and gunships, they are losing any stability or establishment that they hope to gain.
As resistance increased in Iraq and across the world, MAWO will be hosting an antiwar, anti-occupation conference to examine deep and essential elements of antiwar organizing locally and internationally.
Join us to discuss and analyse, and ultimately to politcally and strategically debate the road forward for the antiwar movement.
With presentations on the themes:
"Bushs Election & the Era of Endless Wars and Occupations" - by Tim Louis - Vancouver City Councilor
"State of Imperialist War Drive and Case Study on Strategic Demands"
"Tasks and Perspectives for building an Effective Anti War Movement"
Also Featuring Multimedia Presentations and Film!
Film Showing: Eyewitness to Occupation: On the Ground in Iraq" - Never before screened, filmed in Iraq in spring 2004
Multimedia Presentations: "Self-Determination" and "Building an Anti War Movement: Development of Resistance on the Ground"
