US/UK Out of Iraq! End the Occupation! End the torture of Iraqis! Unconditional Self-Determination for Iraqis!
Mobilization Against War and Occupation Condemns occupying US/UK forces abuse, torture and murder of Iraqi people.
In its tradition of torture and murder, the US occupying forces have continued their brutal attacks on the people of Iraq this week by killing more than 40 people following a wedding party 60 miles west of Baghdad. At 3:00AM on Wednesday May 19th, US helicopters fired missiles while soldiers on the ground shelled the homes of the families joined that night at the wedding ceremony. News agencies report that 42 are dead in the small, remote village of Mukaradeeb; of those 11 were women and 14 children. Further, the US/UK occupation is losing even more legitimacy as additional heinous photos and videos of prisoner torture at the hands of US soldiers are released to the press.
Not only have the US/UK Coalition forces carried out a campaign of devastating Iraq's infrastructure, architecture, and the physical life of the country but the recent explosion of the prisoner abuse scandal and the wedding party attack has shown even more that an integral part of the occupiers strategy in this case has been to humiliate and destroy the minds and spirits of Iraqi people, to try to destroy their will to resist. As the demoralization of US soldiers increases due to the failure of their occupation and suppression campaign, the senseless massacres of the Iraqi people also increases.
Mobilization Against War and Occupation joins with anti war, social justice and humanitarian groups worldwide in demanding an end to the torture and the massacres and an end to the criminal occupation of Iraq. Iraq for Iraqis; self determination is a basic human right and must not be denied any longer!
STOP THE TORTURE AND MURDER OF IRAQI PEOPLE
END THE OCCUPATION OF IRAQ!
UNCONDITIONAL SELF-DETERMINATION FOR IRAQIS!
