[antiwar-van] June 16th- Next MAWO meeting!

The next Mobilization Against War and Occupation(MAWO) Meeting will be June 16th at 6:30PM at the Britannia Community Center(1661 Napier).
 
We have a very buzy month ahead with our next major action being the June 30th March and Rally against the US occupation of Iraq and demanding NO "HANDOVER" UNDER 
OCCUPATION. The rally will held at the same time as thousands of rallys across the globe at 5:30pm at the Vanouver Art Gallery.
 
 
Building up to that event we have a forum on June 19th about the "Handover" and demanding again that the US and all foriegn forces remove their militaries from Iraqi soil.
 
On July 5th we will continue expansion of the Canada Out campaign, with a forum in Surrey at the Surrey Rec Center (beside Surrey Central Station). The forum, as part of a series of educational events will demand Canada Out of Haiti, Canada Out of Afghanistan! It will provide an analysis and update on the developemnt of Canadian imperialism and on how we, as antiwar activists can respond.
 
MAWO will need to focus a lot of energy on outreach for building these events in order to ensure that Vancouver, as part of the International Action on June 30th and beyond, builds effective opposition to the war and occupation. 
 
Again, we invite and encourage everyone to attend our next organizing meeting!
