It has been almost one year to the day that the US military captured Saddam Hussein. This was a failed attempt by the US to cover up their massive failure in Iraq at a time when the Iraqi resistance was growing stronger by the day. This propaganda was aimed at distracting people and attempting to establish that the capture would end the resistance to the occupation. For the people of Iraq, nothing changed with this event. Since then, the only development has been the increasingly brutal and murderous attacks on the Iraqi people by the US, like Sundays missile attacks on Falluja, and the increase in the strength and effectiveness of the Iraqi resistance. Today the Iraqi resistance is still beating back the US/UK forces in Iraq and as we near the 2nd anniversary of the "Shock and Awe" invasion of Iraq we have to maintain mobilization and focus on ending the US/UK occupation of Iraq and bringing the troops home now.
Come to the MAWO meeting this week to organize this action in Vancouver.
