March 20th and beyond: an invitation to participate in StopWar.ca

On Saturday, March 20th, 20 000-plus turned out for a rally and march to show 
that Vancouver still says no to war and occupation, marking the one-year 
anniversary of the invasion of Iraq.  On March 20, the world demonstrated its 
continued opposition to the occupation of Iraq, and to Empire-building in general, as 
two million participated in the largest international day of action since February 
15, 2003.

The StopWar.ca Coalition continues to raise awareness and build opposition to: 
the occupations of Iraq, Palestine and Afghanistan, drives for illegal regime 
change in Haiti and other targets of U.S.-led aggression, Canada's 
participation in the "Star Wars" Missile Defence Program, and the war at home 
against immigrants and refugees.  

We invite you to join in this continuing work of education and mobilization 
for peace and justice, by having your organization endorse StopWar.ca, by 
making a financial donation to our non-profit and volunteer-led coalition, or 
by getting involved in our working committees, which include youth-campus, 
labour, education, media, website, and outreach.  Individuals and delegates from 
organizations are also encouraged to attend our general meetings, held on the 
first and third Wednesdays of each month.  The next general meeting of the 
coalition is Wednesday, April 7, 5:30p.m. at the Maritime Labour Centre (111 
Victoria Dr. at Triumph).
