The SFSS admirably passed a resolution recently, supporting:
an end the illegal occupation of Palestine,
an end to apartheid against Palestinians,
for support of the right of return.

Now, thanks to the muscle of the racists in the Hillel organisation as well
as the Israel Advocacy Committee on campus (who were recently quoted as
saying "The Palestinians couldn't live without us" just over a week ago at
their first "hearing"), they have strong armed the SFSS out of their
anti-racist position. This has been done with the threats of lawsuits and
blackmail.

Having won so easily thanks to the lack of backbone shown by the members of
the SFSS who are now accomplices to a racist policy, these groups are
holding "Israel week" on campus. This includes spreading hateful and racist
messages all over what used to be "Freedom Square".

When the anti-woman/anti-choice "Genocide awareness project" appeared on
campus, supporters of women's rights made it clear they were not welcome.

Now, supporters of racial equality and against Israeli atrocities need to do
the same. Please email all of the addresses below with your complaints at
the SFSS' cowardice in the face of blackmail from a racist organisation.
This shameful capitualtion has already members of the SFSS to resign, as
they were feeling isolated. Please show the rest they are not.

It was once unpopular to oppose apartheid in South Africa, but we were right
in the end there. Justice will prevail here as well. Demand that the SFSS
uphold their anti-racist policy and maintain the resolution.
