A Call For Volunteers

Things are heating up.

Between Gordon Campbell, Jean Chretien and George W. Bush, the world out
there is getting uglier by the day. And that means more demonstrations.

We believe that everyone not only has the right to dissent, they have the
right to do so safely.

That’s why VFAN exists. We’re a group of activists in the women’s, social
justice and labour movements who work as nurses, first aid attendants,
paramedics and doctors in our day jobs, and others who have first aid
training. For several years now we’ve been providing free first aid
coverage for movement events. Lately, however, things are getting to the
point that we’re feeling a bit stretched.

If you have first aid or medical training, we’d like to ask you to consider
joining with us. The time commitment is flexible – even if you can only
turn out a couple of times a year. And the rewards are considerable (and
completely non-material). If you’d like more details, please contact us.
