[antiwar-van] SOMETHING YOU CAN DO

Hi everyone,
We have two big banners (1) "YOU CAN STOP WAR - if you want to" and (2)
'PEACE
MARCH, 15 February, 1 p.m. CANADA PLACE' A second banner advertising the
march will be ready Tuesday.

It will be very effective to have these banners at strategic
spots where cars can see them and where people can be leafletted.

Suggestions;
Library Square,
Art Gallery (both sides)
Denman and Davie
Granville Island
UBC
Cambie and 12th (in front of city hall, -now endorsers).
Grandview Park, Commercial Drive.
It has also been suggested to dangle them over over-passes.

The banners each need 2 or 3 people to hold the banner and then one
person to leaflet.  So if 3 or 4
people, (or more if you want to have both (1) & (2) banners at the same
place) can get together to do this it would be great.
I volunteer to coordinate this.

other suggestions;

2 Feb Sunday afternoon = Linda & Erica - we need at least one more.
3 Feb Monday daytime and/or rush hour = Irene, Barbara and Charlie.
Place; Library Square 3 p.m.
4      Tuesday daytime = Ken
5      Wednesday 
 
I will try to organize for three days at a time.
