Just in case people haven't seen it yet, the #7 issue of ALARM has been
out for several days, and bundles are available for distribution. The
general theme of the issue is - The people of the world... prisoners of
the "war on terror". There are articles on Afghanistan, the "border
panic", Latin America, Palestine, BC cutbacks, Chretien's anti-First
Nations history, and of course the ALARM Index. Also included is a
listing of some important upcoming events into early October, and large
notices promoting the Scott Ritter Oct. 4 speech on Iraq, and Michael
Parenti's Oct. 9 forum in Vancouver.

Bundles can be picked up at People's Co-op Books (1391 Commercial, open
10-6 Monday thru Saturday, 1-5 on Sunday) or my office (706 Clark Drive,
open weekdays and some hours on the weekend, call 255-2041 for hours).

Some distribution has been done at UBC and in the downtown/West End
areas, but not much so far on Commercial Drive, SFU and other areas.
Many thanks to those who have volunteered so far, but we have another
5000 to circulate.

Kimball Cariou,
ALARM working group member
