Synopsis of film:

Tortured and left for dead by Salvadorean soldiers, Maria Guardado survived and found political asylum in California in 1983, where she now lives and carries on the struggle for human rights and social justice. Against the backdrop of Guardado’s first visit back to El Salvador to commemorate the 20th anniversay of the assassination of Archbishop Oscar Romero, Randy Vásquez captures Guardado’s recollection of her abduction by the army in a gripping testimony to the triumph of the human spirit.
